Senior Security Engineer
About the Role
As a Senior Security Engineer in our team, you’ll safeguard application-to-application interactions at Swiss Re — assessing threats, engineering robust authentication, secret-management or authorization technologies, and guiding teams in improving the security of their services.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling for authentication and authorization in application-to-application scenarios across the organization

Design and prototype innovative solutions to mitigate identified security risks

Drive organization-wide risk-reduction initiatives

Document security solutions and present them to technical teams and management

Guide teams across the organization in adopting secure practices for application interactions
About You
Minimum requirements
-
Solid education in computer science or a closely related field
-
Solid know-how in designing and implementing (incl coding) complex software/systems
-
In-depth knowledge of IT security and Identity & Access Management

Broad experience of IT in large companies (incl. with enterprise IT technologies and large-scale deployments)

Excellent presentation skills for communicating with both technical and managerial audiences
-
Can get things done quickly and work in a structured way
Nice to have:

Cybersecurity and public cloud certifications

Strong experience with security audits

In-depth experience with secret vaults
-
Expertise in IT security domains beyond IAM (e.g. vulnerability management, red teaming)
About the team
The Applications IAM team specializes in securing access and managing secrets for technical identities across Swiss Re's IT ecosystems, including public cloud environments. We are part of the Chief security office's (CSO) Product and Engineering Unit. The CSO organization is responsible for cybersecurity engineering, operations, governance, risk, and compliance.
What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises.
For Spain the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 60.000] and [EUR 100.000] (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
