Senior Underwriter Cyber and Technology Insurance (Hybrid)

Swiss Re continues to invest into Cyber Insurance and scales up its Cyber Underwriting team in EMEA. We are building up our underwriting team in Madrid to service customers and brokers throughout various European countries. Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite your own portfolio of cyber and technology risks in EMEA.
- Implement the cyber go to market approach in the Spanish, French and UK market in close collaboration with our customer, distribution and alternative risk transfer teams.
- Maintain a deep understanding of cyber industry and market developments and the potential impact on the portfolio.
- Shape our global cyber & technology underwriting practice through close collaboration with the global cyber lead, other regional cyber leads, actuarial, claims, legal and IT teams.
- Develop and maintain broker and client networks to support profitable business origination.
- Represent Swiss Re at conferences and market events as a senior underwriter in the Spanish, French and UK market.
About You:
- 10+ years of underwriting experience with 5+ years in Cyber and Technology insurance market.
- Fluent in Spanish, French and English.
- Excellent negotiation skills to achieve bottom line profitability for Swiss Re.
- Balanced technical understanding of cyber risk and strong business acumen.
- A team-oriented working style across the EMEA region.
- Ability to manage stakeholders in a global organization.
- A bachelor's degree is required.
For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 72,000 and EUR 120,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.
