About the Role


As a Site Reliability Engineer at IptiQ, you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability, stability, and scalability of our company's cloud systems and infrastructure. You will shape the technology platform that fulfils our business and product vision, ultimately bring value to our customers and partners by redefining the traditional insurance proposition. This will require tackling complex problems in a multi-tenant, distributed infrastructure by designing, implementing, and testing highly automated solutions that guarantee the level of scalability, reliability, and performance expected from customer-facing applications.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • End-to-end engagement, from inception to production, in designing, deploying, operating, and continuously improving performance and fault-tolerance of high-availability services in multiple environments
  • Deliver high-quality code and solutions, focusing on reliability, automation and security.
  • Operate the production systems in close collaboration with product engineering teams, closely monitoring service availability, latency, and performance. Take charge of incident resolution impacting the production platform and lead detailed root cause investigations during postmortems, encouraging a culture of seamless work across teams
  • Focus on delivering automated and self-healing systems. Continuously engage in workload planning and exploring solutions to increase the efficiency of the platform using the opportunities of the public clouds
  • Contribute to development, support and maintenance of continuous delivery solutions

About You

Essentials

 

  • 3+ years of significant hands-on experience with large-scale, customer-facing micro services architectures and standard methodologies around design, build, scale, and ensure observability in a high-traffic concurrent infrastructure, possibly in different technology stacks.
  • Understand the implications and trade-offs of different solutions with regards to performance, reliability, availability, and security.
  • Solid experience with cloud computing platforms (particularly AWS), application containerization and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), configuration management (Terraform, Ansible) and implementing CI/CD (GitabCI, ArgoCD, Spinnaker).
  • Proficient with languages like Python, Go, Rust, Java and advanced scripting.
  • A great teammate: able to collaborate effectively with team members, express technical leadership by arguing your views and ideas while staying open to different opinions, and always contribute to the overall growth of the team.
  • Experienced working in an agile environment using Scrum/Kanban/TDD.
  • Master’s or PhD degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent working experience.
  • Proficient in English (The job is English-speaking only).
     

Nice To Have

 

  • Experience in managing different cloud-based Datastores solutions (NoSQL / SQL)
  • Past experience in highly regulated environments
  • AWS/CNCF Certifications
