Software Developer
Join a team of cybersecurity professionals and help Swiss Re to fulfil its mission in making the world more resilient. As Software Developer, you'll own the design and technical implementation of new customer access management self-service features, coach junior colleagues, and contribute to making the solution end-to-end successful as part of a DevSecOps team. What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises.
About the team
The Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk and compliance. We define and advance the company's security strategy. The Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) team manages access of B2B (business-to-business) partners to Swiss Re's applications and services. We're looking for an experienced software engineer who will help to improve access management solutions for Swiss Re customers by designing and implementing back-end elements.
In your role, you will…
- Design and implement features and components for Swiss Re's B2B Identity & Access Management landscape
- Ensure technical design is in line with architecture and meets security and quality requirements
- Work with QA colleagues to ensure solutions meet high expectations for reliability and availability
- Contribute to technical documentation and DevOps support of the solution
Your qualifications

- Passion, drive and a belief in the value of developing high-quality, secure-by-design back-ends as an enabler of business performance
- 3+ years of relevant work experience including complex projects in large organizations
- Experience with the design and development of Azure-based applications
- Experience with complex development projects using Java
- Experience meeting non-functional requirements such as reliability, availability, performance
- Good communication skills in spoken and written English
- Belief in continuous innovation, curiosity, and relentlessly looking for a better way every day
Nice-to-have
- A good understanding of multi-tier, microservice, Spring, RESTful-based applications, cloud technologies, containers
- Technical skills and experience with .NET framework and/or OAuth 2.0 implementation
- Experience with agile development practices and DevOps
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or comparable knowledge
