About the Role

As Team Lead of Vulnerability Management Operations, you'll be a key strategic leader within our security organisation, overseeing our vulnerability management program and team across the enterprise. You'll drive security excellence through leadership, vision, and executive stakeholder management while continuously enhancing our organisational security posture.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership for the vulnerability management operations function, including direction, resource allocation, and performance metrics
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of vulnerability management professionals
  • Establish and support governance frameworks to mature vulnerability management across the organisation
  • Drive executive-level decisions related to vulnerability risk acceptance, mitigation strategies, and security investments
  • Represent security interests in senior leadership forums and strategic planning sessions
  • Build and maintain relationships with C-suite and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment on security priorities
  • Support and oversee implementation of vulnerability management policies, standards, and procedures
  • Manage budget and resources for the vulnerability management operations function
  • Champion security initiatives across business units and technology teams
  • Report on security posture to executive leadership and board-level committees
  • Lead crisis response for critical security incidents and zero-day vulnerabilities

 

About the Team

As part of the Chief Security Office organisation, we serve as the focal point for security activities across Swiss Re. Within the Preparedness & Assurance Squad, we actively discover and monitor known vulnerabilities across the entire company, alerting system owners about necessary fixes while pushing for automation and integration with various products. We leverage our vulnerability expertise to analyse Swiss Re's risk exposure and deliver actionable recommendations to respective management teams. We're looking for someone who resonates with our mission and is eager to enhance our vulnerability management processes.

 

About You

You're a security-focused executive with proven leadership skills and a experience in vulnerability management. You thrive in collaborative environments, communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation, and are driven to continuously improve security processes and outcomes. You combine strategic vision with practical execution to deliver measurable security improvements.

 

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

 

  • Cyber security expertise including solid understanding of risk management principles and vulnerability scanning methodologies
  • Stakeholder management with demonstrated ability to influence and align diverse groups
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to assess complex security scenarios
  • Excellent time management capabilities with proven ability to prioritise effectively
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Leadership experience in guiding technical conversations across multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with leading vulnerability management teams or initiatives
  • Knowledge of security compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
  • Familiarity with enterprise security tools and platforms
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple locations and time zones

 

For Spain the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 60.000] and [EUR 100.000] (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers: 
  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
  • the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
