Associate Pricing Actuary (80-100% working degree)
Do you have career aspirations to be a Pricing Actuary in commercial General Insurance space – developing the product know-how and analytical skills vital to improve the profitability of a global Underwriting portfolio?
About The Role
You will learn to use actuarial methods and techniques to help develop insight on portfolio and trends to set costing parameters for our in-house proprietary property costing model, helping improve the predictability and accuracy of costing tool. You will have a direct impact in helping steer the profitability of your portfolio and ultimately the overall Business Unit's performance.
Key responsibilities of the role include:

Work on complex case pricings for transactions requiring Actuarial reviews, participate in review of the proposals with Senior Actuary and communicate effectively the outcome to the stakeholders primarily the case Underwriter.

Carry out the quarterly profitability analysis of the portfolio by employing combination of Actuarial techniques like Experience rating and Exposure rating to evaluate the on-levelled performance of the book and projection for future.

Analyze the portfolios and sub-portfolios by slicing and dicing the data sources and perform statistical analysis on the data to derive portfolio insights.

Communicate the results and findings optimally to wider audience of stakeholders.

Work on Actuarial rate review projects to update the costing parameters of the in-house Swiss Re developed proprietary costing model for Fire perils.

Work on developing data pipeline, data transformation and analysis for Portfolio analytics, Model reviews and other model enhancements.

About you

Bachelor's degree in a Quantitative/Numerical subject.

Practical experience of more than a year in an Actuarial position in any discipline (pensions, life).

You are pursuing Actuarial Science from IFOA or any other recognized Actuarial body.

Excellent skills in MS Excel.

Preferably programming skills in R/Python and SQL.
