About the Team

The Underwriting Support position will provide technical assistance to the Facultative Underwriting team (direct and broker markets) utilizing various software applications, records management and processes.

 

About the Role

  • Provide Underwriter with support for all non-client facing activities, including but not limited to; data entry, risk clearance, binding transactions, facultative certificates, endorsement issuance, and responsible for strong data quality.
  • Provide administrative support regarding pricing tools, internal systems, records management and processes for the business relationships in his/her area of responsibility
  • Support Facultative Underwriter with reporting needs
  • Assists in the planning and reporting process including data gathering and data entry
  • Carry outs and maintains guidelines throughout all facultative risks including archiving and storage planning
  • Leads all Facultative Underwriting documentation within electronic filing system
  • Work with other internal/external departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Ensure (external and internal) audit compliance
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and Overdue accounts

 

About You

  • Minimum of two year associate degree; or equivalent experience.
  • (Re)insurance knowledge desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must (English and Spanish)
  • Good analytical skills
  • Very strong attention to details

  • Reliable and self-reliant task manager
  • Strong customer focus and service orientation
  • Ability to cope with changes in tasks and priorities
