About the role:

 

The Technical Associate is responsible for providing support to Swiss Re's Client Markets Team, covering the Life and Health Business Portfolio of Latin America  markets. S/he must want to collaborate within a team environment and actively transfer knowledge, coordinate and act accordingly to regional strategic initiatives and priorities. S/he will ensure that client market supporting activities are performed accurately, efficiently and according to relevant timelines. The role will report to the Business Services Team Leader responsible for this team in Mexico

 

 

About the role:

 

  • Provides Client Manager with all relevant support within L&H lines for all non-client facing activities including day to day administration of client management tasks, LH submission and renewal set up, Underwriting and Market Actuarial support for LH, contracts and correspondence records management and general business support processes associated within Client Markets and Business Services.
     
  • Responsible for managing LH new and renewal  processes, including contract clause reviews and comparisons, managing communication with clients and structuring new and renewal  contracts according to Products and Client Manager correspondence. Needs to be able to read and structure clauses and make basic extrapolations as to how they should be entered into our various LH systems.
     
  • Coordinate with Underwriting and Contracts to ensure required documentation is maintained as per local requirements and stored and accounted for in relevant tools in accordance to compliance deadlines.

 

  • Responsible for data quality and entry in our underwriting and client management tools and LH systems. Experience with our LH tools is an advantage but not necessary.
     
  • Compliance Support –Ensure external & internal audit compliance: by complying with internal guideline processes efficiently and organizational Risk Management (audits) in LH lines.

 

  • Provides Client Managers with presentations, running reports as needed and highlighting points of concern/interest and integrating those into standardized presentations such as CEO briefings, Strategy Papers and various other client presentations and ensures accuracy and overall quality.
     
  • Supports the Plan and Projection process, coordinating with Finance.

 

  • Participates in LH projects and contributes to process improvements.

    About you:
  • A four year college degree or equivalent; higher education such as an MBA is valued
  • Re/insurance knowledge and experience; L&H specific knowledge is a plus
  • Highly motivated individual who can think analytically and proactively
  • Work together with clients, internal and external, listen to their needs and look at challenges from their viewpoint
  • Excellent organizer, flexible and able to work effectively under tight deadlines
  • Own problems and the accountability for solving them; ability to cope with changes in tasks and priorities
  • Evidence an openness to new ideas and solutions, whether from inside or outside; ability and willingness to transfer knowledge and experience to colleagues

  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in Spanish; working, professional English; Portuguese is a plus
