Compliance Analyst

About the Role


The Compliance Analyst supports the Compliance Corporate Solutions Americas Team in the execution of its strategy and responsibilities.Core Responsibilities will include:

  • Support development and maintenance of the Compliance Programs for the Americas, with special focus in Mexico, and associated compliance risk mitigation standards for existing and new/amended regulations including policies, guidelines, training and communication.
  • Providing enabling guidance and technical expertise to the Business Unit with respect to compliance requirements and implementation of the Compliance Program.
  • Provide compliance support with respect to Business Unit initiatives or development of new products or distribution channels.
  • Assist in Monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of the Compliance Program on a continuing basis and provide assurance to Management regarding the Business' implementation of the Compliance Program.
  • Assist in Monitoring and act upon regulatory developments relating to compliance risks and the associated regulatory obligations.
  • Perform regular compliance risk assessments.
  • Support development and delivery of the Annual Compliance Plan.
  • Establish and maintain cross regional relationships with other team members, teams, functions, and Business Units.
  • Analysis of transaction monitoring, PEP and sanction screening alerts on a regular basis.
  • Process optimization (improvement and automation).
  • Supports the Compliance Officer in the oversight of Mexico's AML program by providing relevant regulatory insight, development of executive presentations and executive reports.
  • Supports the management and organization of the local AML Committee: development of minutes, follow-up on cases discussed and timely execution of action items post-meeting.


About the Team

 

The Regional Compliance Corporate Solutions Americas team is a diverse multi-jurisdictional team based in Mexico, Brazil, Canada and the United States. We provide enabling guidance and technical expertise to the Business Unit Corporate Solutions in the Americas region with respect to compliance requirements and implementation of the Compliance Program. We are part of the global Corporate Solutions Compliance team. We are a team committed to partner with our local clients to enable doing businesses with the highest ethical standards.


About You

 

We are looking for someone who is client-centric and a strong team player, with solid analytical, wide enterprise thinking and problem-solving skills, who can navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

A great teammate with strong communication interpersonal skills and who is hard-working with a strong desire to learn is a must.

At least 2-year experience in Compliance or risk management related areas.

Knowledge of Mexico’s AML regulation applicable to financial sector is a must.

Data-based Analytics & Insights: Ability to handle and analyze data using Swiss Re approved tools and draw relevant conclusions to inform business decisions and actions is a plus.

Coding and programming: Use of computer languages, such as Python, R and Structured Query Language (SQL) to specify a set of instructions and produce various kinds of outputs is a plus.

Proficiency in both English and Spanish is a must.
