Job Title: International Surety Specialist | Mexico City

About the Role
If you have experience in trade finance, bond and surety, you will thrive in this role while providing support to North America Surety clients with International Surety needs. Your responsibilities include interacting with internal stakeholders, processing and administering bonds, supporting underwriting during renewals, administering complex transactions, and analyzing premium and fee discrepancies.

 

About the Team
Credit & Surety Operations is transforming into a trusted partner, collaborating with global Surety business teams. Our team is spread across Europe, Asia Pacific, North, and Latin America. We are implementing a new International Surety Model to standardize and improve processes.

 

About You
You understand clients' needs, take ownership of your responsibilities, and set priorities. You are a team player, passionate about sharing expertise, and building effective working relationships.

 

Education
•    Completed commercial education, preferably banking specialist or bachelor degree in economics or law.
•    Associates Degree or equivalent job experience.


Experience
•    Knowledge in URDG 758, ICISA forms and other international rules
•    Direct/Reinsurance experience with bonds placement, especially in Latin America.
•    Experience with network partners, bank guarantees, and surety business is a plus.
•    Basic knowledge of sanctions, commercial and company law.


Linguistics
•    Proficiency in English and Spanish is a must. Knowledge of Portuguese is a plus.
•    Additional languages of relevant markets (especially French, German) are a plus.


Technical Competencies
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SWIFT messages for documentary business is a plus.
•    Competency in intermediate-level math, administrative and clerical procedures, and customer service processes.
•    Excellent reading comprehension, verbal, and written skills.
•    Occasional travel may be required.
