Junior Tax Analyst (hybrid)
As a member of Group Tax Latin America team, your primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to the preparation and calculation of taxes and tax obligations for Swiss Re. You will be working with different areas and teams in Mexico, Americas and worldwide. This opportunity will expose to you to a variety of functions and activities within the tax function, and will allow a deep-dive in the insurance and reinsurance businesses, understanding the end-to-end process and the whole value chain analysis.
About the Role
- Tax accounting: monthly preparation of tax-related accounting reconciliation schedules, tax booking vouchers and journal entries, tax calculation.
- Tax IT: support, develop and implement new automation solutions and tools, and finding new ideas for "working smarter" with the team and wider Finance population;

- Tax compliance: support in the 'business as usual' activities – preparation of tax schedules, tax payments, tax returns, invoices (CFDI's), withholding taxes and VAT rules for beneficiaries, brokers, vendors and clients; transfer pricing reporting and obligations.
- Maintenance of good track record of tax documents and repositories.
- Tax consulting for new products, contracts and act as an ad-hoc trusted tax advisor and business partner
- Contribute to the regional and global Swiss Re Group Tax department, and/or overall Business projects, where needed.
About the Team
Group Tax Latin America is responsible for all tax affairs for Swiss Re in Latin America & Caribbean and part of the wider Americas Regional Tax and Global Tax departments.

About You
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Law, Business Management/Administration, Engineering, Data or Computation Science, or any other IT or Finance-related course (completed or close to complete/graduation year)
- Advanced English skills is highly desired as the person will be using English to discuss with the broader department, IT support services, Risk & Governance, HR Trainings, and other global functions.
- Good knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in tax accounting, tax accounting or Tax IT; Big4 experience a plus.
- Experience with Mexican Tax compliance obligations highly desirable.
- Good knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint).
- Hybrid workplace. You are expected to be in-office 60% of your time (3 days per week, flexible days).
