About the role:
Would you like to become a member of our Marine Latin America team? Do you feel at ease in a dynamic environment in which success is dependent on a true and open team approach?
In this role, you will underwrite treaty as well as facultative accounts for traditional Marine business, with the aim to deepen your technical skills over time. You will work in close cooperation with other specialists and underwriters and be responsible of administering and marketing a controlled profitable book of business.
We expect you to support our client markets colleagues and any other partner within the wider XFT (cross functional teams) in helping to structure Marine solutions tailored to both the client and broker demand. You will gain intrinsic Marine know how and make the latter directly available to our internal as well as external partners.
The aim is at becoming the first port of call and discussion partner of choice when it comes to evaluate any kind of Marine issues. Finally, you will be trained to stay ahead of market economics, political and technical trends as well as recognise Marine class relevant threat scenarios and technical challenges.

About you:

•    Bachelor's degree, Master's degree is a plus (main areas: economics, actuarial science, administration, naval engineering, logistics, not exclusive of other careers).
•    At least three years of working experience in cargo and/or hull underwriting or claims adjusting, or in a related field such as surveyor, logistics risk manager and similar.
•    Motivated to learn about insurance/reinsurance and make a change in the industry
•    Approaches problems with curiosity and open-mindedness
•    Effective communication skills
•    Knowledge of Project Management, can investigate and learn independently.
•    Excellent oral and written English and Spanish; Portuguese is an advantage.
•    Client focused.
•    Analytical flair.
•    Open to embrace new challenges within the Marine team.
•    Able to organize and drive own initiatives. 
•    You are an outstanding teammate who can work independently.
•    Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and handling of large Data volumes.
