Marketing & Strategy Analyst Latin America & Caribbean

The Marketing and Strategy Analyst will support the Latin America & Caribbean head and the extended leadership team as an analyst on strategic and operational engagements across the organization.  

 

This role offers the candidate an overview of the key strategic and operational topics most relevant to the market unit, with great exposure and direct interaction with senior leaders. The candidate will also develop and expand on strategic problem solving, performance monitoring, operational excellence, and client engagement through project ownership.   

 

We are looking for the glue that sticks our cross-functional teams together and interacts with colleagues from other functions. You will report to the Divisional Operating Manager in Mexico City and your core responsibilities will include:

 

  • Support the Market Unit head and extended leadership team with projects and activities that deliver on the market unit's strategic objectives (e.g., Performance Culture, Improving Client Engagement) 

  • Support the Market Heads in leading their cross-functional teams, i.e. steering, developing briefing documents, preparing and coordinating meetings and other activities, managing partners and communication, following up on open items. 

  • Coordinating client, industry and market requestsand events, e.g., client webinars, Leadership meetings, Strategy days 

  • Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis, including coordination with Finance and other functions/ data providers. 

  • Support delivery of presentations and briefing material for internal management meetings (in coordination with cross-functional team), e.g., Business Performance Reviews, townhalls & offsites, and external events. 

  • Ensure collaboration with other client teams and other markets/ functional units and sharing knowledge and best practice effectively.

The DOO team works together with senior leaders in the P&C and L&H Reinsurance unit and aspires to enable the strategic direction of P&C and L&H globally and drive operational excellence to position Swiss Re for success today and tomorrow.  

 

  • Successfully completed university degree, excellent academic record 

  • 2-3 years' experience in relevant roles/ industries 

  • Advanced proficiency in Powerpoint and Excel required, knowledge in PowerBI optional 

  • English proficiency C1 

  • Ability and enthusiasm to work in a challenging and complex global environment, naturally bringing individuals together as needed, across functions, levels and regions  

  • Strategic thinker with analytical skills 

  • Proven cross-functional project management skills with attention to details  

  • Team player, willingness to contribute actively to the overall team spirit
