About the team

 

We are seeking a Digital  Rules Analyst who will be a member of the Magnum Centre of Competence core rules team. You will be instrumental in evolving our Core Underwriting Rules and bringing our world leading risk philosophy to clients.

Your role will involve design, specification, development, testing and production of automated underwriting rules, enabling the regional Magnum implementation teams.

Magnum is a key product solution, bringing together technical excellence and our world-leading underwriting philosophy to enable our clients to benefit from optimized operational processes and providing the foundation for future growth opportunities.

This is an exciting time with Magnum as we are experiencing significant new client activity and continue to deliver the next generation version of the product and market leading Underwriting capabilities.

We are looking for individuals with strong business analyst and technical skills who can join the team and continue to build on our existing platform to provide clients with an ever-improving solution for their automated underwriting needs.

 

About the Role

The main responsibilities include:

  • Producing clear specification documents, building and executing Automated Underwriting Rules and unit and scenario tests.
  • You will identify, analyze and interpret key information to build optimal standard practice Automated Underwriting Rules.
  • Working to tight time-lines and within defined processes. The ability to analyze data to improve rule performance will compliment your core responsibilities.
  • Working effectively in a matrix organization with team members and stakeholders across the globe

 

Individuals will report to a local team manager with matrix management line to the Manager responsible for global rules delivery. This is a full-time role.

About You

  • Strong technical analysis, design and build/code skills ideally with a background in workflow or digital decisioning solutions
  • Direct insurance or reinsurance (Life and Health) experience beneficial
  • A good track record of developing and delivering strong technical solutions, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent team player with strong communication skills and demonstrable ability to work across a diverse set of teams and stakeholders.
  • Well-developed decision-making and problem-solving capabilities. Familiarity with Business Analysis tools or Process Engineering including RPA a plus.
  • Good time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in written & verbal English. Other foreign languages will be an added advantage.
  • Influencing skills and the capability to persuade without causing conflict.
  • Proven capability to work in a team & to work autonomously.
  • Ability to build rapport & maintain positive relationships with the team, market underwriters and other important partners.
  • Expertise in MS office, especially in Excel and Visio skills.
  • Ability to work to defined processes and guidelines and help develop and improve those processes
