Procurement Manager

About the Team

The Mexico Procurment Team is accountable for Procure to Pay (P2P) activities across all categories of spend cross-divisionally in Mexico and supports US, Canadian and LATAM region in the development of Regional Strategy in alignment with global Category Strategies. Along with its Regional business partners and through established Procurement networks, this team executes the strategy to deliver value, improve quality, optimize cost and mitigate risk in the supply chain.

 

About the Role

The Procurement Manager Mexico (PMM) plans and leads his/her own and team in P2P initiatives across assigned categories of spend within the assigned countries. The PMM develops the local strategy as part of the wider Regional Procurement strategy while being aligned to the global Category Strategies. The PMM proactively leads Procurement projects, specification definition and demand management, as well as manages specific supplier performance and innovation activities across assigned categories of spend within the assigned countries. The PMM is recognized as the lead for advisory to our business partners.

 

About You

 

All these accountabilities relate to assigned categories with a primary emphasis in IT as managed from Mexico:

  • Accounatble for own and team's delivery of Procurment Initiatives in Support of Businesses Objectives
  • Accountable for delivering annual financial targets
  • Accountable for the overall delivery of the KPI and Balanced Scorecard targets
  • Responsible for consolidating, sharing and effective collaboration of Vendor, market, category and internal business data and information to develop Regional Strategy in alignment with global Category Strategies
  • Responsible for monitoring compliance as well as enforcing Targeted Standard on Global Procurement and the associated Buying Guidance and Vendor Management Guidance
  • Accountable for delivering quality processes to allow for efficient service delivery that meets or exceeds business partner requirements
  • Accountable for implementation and communication of the final Regional Strategy aligned with global Category Strategies and Annual Plans to relevant business partners
  • Accountable for execution and application of vendor management aligned to the Vendor Relationship Management Framework and Global Procurement Services and Process Landscape
  • Resposnible for developing the Procurment Network while ensuring effective collaboration across Global Procurement
  • Accountable for managing relationships with key business partners 
  • Accountable for taking ownership of your own career, performance and development
  • Accountable for ensuring the resources, information and tools are in place for project execution, providing project management and implementation support where required
  • Accountable for the creation, application, completion and review of major contracts
  • Responsible for providing input into the development of appropriate Playbook.
