About the team:

The Specialist Client Accounting Services I is accountable for effective management of a specific client portfolio as well as building and maintaining professional client relationship. This also includes performing on-site client visits and reviews of clients administration processes. You will review trends, technical aspects and data quality and ensuring timely cash flow. The Business Manager acts as the Technical Accounting representative towards stakeholders by providing advice, feedback and analysis, this all happens in collaboration with the processing hubs.

About the role:

  • You will be at the heart of Swiss Re's reinsurance business, supporting us in developing opportunities for our reinsurance clients and building great relationships with new partners.
  • You will manage various senior FRM management bodies, including close coordination with committee chairs, preparation of presentations and deliverables, supporting the meeting management process and, finally, also tracking action items appropriately.
  • Managing all aspects of the client relationships and taking responsibility for respective technical and financial results including planning and budgeting while leading cross functional resources.
  • General overview and understanding of all activities covered by the Cash and Cost Ops Unit - Account Payables, Payments & Receipts and Treasury team, monitoring and improvement of local team processes aimed at keeping the operational risk under the control and proper control framework, facilitate in problem solving and teamwork within the whole unit.
  • You will facilitate frequent open communication and exchange of creative ideas with transaction clients at various levels, understanding their strategic direction, patterns, and interests while being able to seek out gaps and issues that could be solved through SR's transaction solutions.
  • Identifies learning opportunities and proactively seeks training opportunities through SR Academy, peer mentoring, and industry training programs. Provides peer training and mentoring.
  • Understand internal and external client feedback, analyze results and initiate actions to improve or maintain results as needed.
  • Developing and leading all aspects of the quantitative and qualitative assessment of the external investment managers based on a set of defined key performance indicators
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and overdue accounts.
  • Escalate as appropriate issues to management and/or senior management.
  • You'll support External Client Training

About you:

  • You have strong analytical and quantitative skills and are a pragmatic problem solver, also under time constraints and changing boundary conditions. You flourish with delivering results.
  • Sound Financial Accounting and accounting principles
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • Do you have the ability to work as a team player while demonstrating leadership traits to steer our processing units/centers?
  • Are you able to work in a remote international and diverse team?
  • Proven track record of being a self starter and working with limited mentorship, ability to manage own workload effectively.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and implement them accordingly.
  • Result oriented working style, with strong focus on performance, targets and risk management.
  • Strong service and client orientation.
  • Reinsurance or insurance accounting experience would be an added advantage.
