Structurer IRS Latin America  

As part of the SRCS' Innovative Risk Solutions ('IRS') team the position holder will support the IRS Latin America team in origination, structuring and execution of a broad range of Alternative Risk Transfer Solutions for corporate and public entities, reporting to the Head Innovative Risk Solutions Latin America. 


Key responsibilities include

  • Support the IRS Latin America team in origination, structuring and execution activities.
  • Lead interdisciplinary deal teams including deal monitoring. 
  • Sell and market Innovative Risk Solutions together with CDM to brokers and customers. 
  • In collaboration with CDM, the Underwriting Teams and the Global IRS team, contribute to meet plan.
  • In collaboration with all stakeholders ensure adherence to Group Compliance and Underwriting standards.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to Underwriting, Products, Legal and Finance teams, brokers, Risk, and Captive Mangers. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accounting, tax and legal requirements to mitigate reputational risk.
  • Contribute to the aim that SRCS's IRS team is known in the market as a consistent and reliable partner for innovative risk and capital management solutions and thought leadership.

 

About you 
Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the Latin America (Re-)insurance market.
  • Significant and varied experience in the direct insurance market either in Underwriting, Risk Management or Insurance Marketing complemented by practical experience in structuring and executing Alternative Risk Transfer solutions.
  • Working experience in a multi-cultural and cross-functional environment.

Technical Skills

  • Solid know-how of traditional and non-standard re/insurance products and markets including underwriting.
  • Strong financial acumen with basic capital management / Solvency proficiency 
  • Profound understanding of sales process and origination, customer behavior and purchasing strategies.

Leadership Skills

  • Application of strong entrepreneurial mindset and focus on execution, pronounced bias towards closing deals.
  • Demonstration of innovative and adaptive thinking while analyzing data and insights
  • Excellent communication and partnering skills.
  • Extraordinary influencing and negotiation skills to drive complex solutions over the finishing line.
  • Sound, strategic and consistent decision-making skills.
  • Excellent team player with the ability to work well in a virtual team environment.

Language Skills

  • English, Spanish and ideally Portuguese

Educational Experience:

  • Master's degree in risk management, corporate finance, mathematics, economics, or equivalent education.

Other Comments

  • Willingness to travel.
