About the Team

The Regional Sourcing Team is accountable for end-to-end sourcing activities across all categories of spend cross divisionally in the (XYZ) region and development of Regional Strategy in alignment with global Category Strategies.

Along with its Regional business partners and through established Sourcing networks, this team executes the strategy to deliver value, improve quality, optimize cost and mitigate risk in the supply chain.

 

About the role

The Sourcing Execution Manager (SEM) [ITD] plans and leads category initiatives for [ITD] cross-divisionally in [Americas]. The SEM contributes to development of Regional Strategy in alignment with the [ITD] Category Strategy, leads proactive sourcing projects, specification definition and demand management, as well as manages specific supplier performance and innovation activities. Taking the ownership for execution on [ITD], the SEM is recognized as the lead for advisory to our business partners in [ITD] within [Americas]. In this leadership role, the SEM is accountable for managing a team as well as overall delivery of [ITD] strategy and KPIs.

• Responsible for supporting the bottom-up aggregation of all [ITD] data across divisions and countries to inform the top-down target setting process, reconciling the "gaps" between bottom-up and top-down targets and identifying initiatives required to close any such disparities

• Accountable for delivering annual [ITD] financial targets

• Accountable for the overall delivery of the [ITD] KPI and Balanced Scorecard targets

• Responsible for consolidating, sharing and effective collaboration of Vendor, market, category and internal business data and information to develop Regional Strategy in alignment with global [ITD] Category Strategy

• Responsible for monitoring compliance as well as enforcing Targeted Standard on Global Sourcing and the associated Buying Guidance and Vendor Management Guidance

• Accountable for delivering quality processes to allow for efficient [ITD] service delivery that meets or exceeds business partner requirements

• Accountable for implementation, execution and communication of the final Regional Strategy aligned with [ITD] Strategy and Annual [ITD] Plans to relevant business partners

• Accountable for execution and application of vendor management in the [ITD], aligned to the Vendor Relationship Management Framework and Global Sourcing Services and Process Landscape

• Responsible for developing the Regional Sourcing network while ensuring effective collaboration across Global Sourcing

• Accountable for managing relationships with key business partners

• Accountable for managing the performance of all direct reports while supporting them in their capability and career development

• Accountable for taking ownership of your own career, performance and development

• Accountable for driving continual improvement in the Regional Sourcing team – active part in CI initiatives, engage team members in CI initiatives

• Accountable for ensuring the resources, information and tools are in place for project execution throughout the [ITD], providing project management and implementation support where required

• Accountable for the creation, application, completion and review of major contracts for the [ITD]

• Responsible for providing [ITD] input into the development of appropriate Playbook.

 

About You

Bachelor’s degree required at a minimum; in fields such as business administration, finance,

law or a scientific or technical field. Strong preference for CIPS or similar professional qualification

You must have more than ten (10) years of Sourcing/Procurement experience in the insurance, re-insurance or financial services industry.

Perfect candidate will demonstrate proficiency in executing on pragmatic solutions in collaboration with the business to advance business priorities. Candidate will be required to communicate effectively with Business partners and external suppliers.
