About the Role

 

Enable growth of Corporate Solutions to gain knowledge of the local Mexican market and how competitors are working to develop primary lead insurance (PLI) domestic and internationally. The individual will be responsible for the development of a local market planning in Mexico, being to execute domestic PLI sales initiatives and to start preparing for international PLI during 2021 to have the backbone ready in 2021-2022.

Together with the projects, the individual will hold a direct sales target to be done via the direct insurance carrier in Mexico for PLI domestic (leading or 100% business Lines). The position will be a mix of research, support to operations and sales.

 

Sales & Account Management

  • Develops a clear understanding of the clients' insurance needs and implements “go-to-market” strategies covering Corporate Solutions' PLI goals in Mexico.
  • Establishes a strong relationship with Brokers for domestic PLI and with clients for future international PLI.
  • Takes active ownership and coordinates all ongoing PLI activity, as well as all aspects related to the development of PLI initiatives.
  • Develop detailed sales plans and opportunities to originate on PLI domestic via the products from CorSo MX (Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Mexico Seguros), and be ready to service international PLI programs.
  • Drives client negotiations, organizes and leads global client teams -- including representatives from other functional units - to deliver the best possible service to the client.
  • Handles sensitive client-related issues and leads internal processes to ensure swift delivery to client requests.
  • Builds a network of contacts with key decision makers.
  • Understand the client needs and tie in with the PLI strategy of the company.

 

Compliance & Controlling

  • Ensures compliance with Swiss Re guidelines.
  • Ensures that relevant (Client, Group, Divisional, etc.) deadlines are met.
  • Performance measurement criterio.
  • Delivery of top and bottom line targets.
  • Growth PLI portfolio for Mexico.
  • Effectiveness of developing a go to local market plan.
  • Quality of strategy and execution.

 

About You

  • University degree or equivalent with a strong business component preferred.
  • Has more than 3 years of experience in Insurance industry.
  • Has hold a technical role within the insurance industry.
  • Has held a commercial position in the industry.
  • Has good knowledge of teamwork.
  • Not mandatory, but good if the professional has already the opportunity to manage teams.
  • English – Fluent, Spanish – Native.
