Head Facultative P&C Caribbean

About the Role:
You will oversee our single risk Property Portfolio, which includes national and international accounts and complex risks from the largest property writers in the region. You will be the primary contact for local markets, engaging with both clients and brokers, and representing Swiss Re Fac at industry events and leadership meetings.
Additionally, you will be responsible for strategic, organizational, and operational matters across all Swiss Re's facultative P&C products.
In this role, you will focus on evaluating, underwriting, and originating facultative property business, mainly for the local market, in collaboration with an experienced team. You will assess a wide range of risk types using your expertise and state-of-the-art models. Your role will also involve fostering and developing client and broker relationships.
Key responsibilities:
- You will lead and engage a national team of experienced P&C Facultative underwriters operating in a dual channel environment.
- You will monitor and steer the portfolio, ensuring underwriting quality and profitable deals to meet or exceed financial and operational KPIs.
- Regular travel to our FAC offices in the region will be required to meet clients and brokers.

We are an international team of experienced underwriters with established relationships in our markets, focusing on a high level of single risks underwriting. We assist our clients with technical expertise and negotiate deals regularly.
About You
- As a team leader, you will establish clear performance expectations with results-oriented goals, fostering growth and success within your team while maintaining a positive attitude. You will be responsible for the profit and loss (P&L) of the portfolio.
- You will contribute to the FAC P&C Leadership Team with your intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and analytical problem-solving skills.

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office three days per week. This role is not eligible for either relocation assistance or visa sponsorship.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $156,000 to $246,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
