Business Analyst (SRILIAC)
About the Role:
The SRILIAC Business Analyst role is responsible for overseeing and supporting operations at Swiss Re Insurance-Linked Investment Advisor Corporation (SRILIAC), the company's US-based investment manager. This position requires working closely with business partners, administrators, custodians, and internal teams to ensure accurate execution of all fund operations.
Core duties include performing reconciliations, monitoring trades, supervising cash management, assisting with new fund launches, and managing databases. The analyst also plays a key role in maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Additionally, the SRILIAC Business Analyst focuses on enhancing business operations by introducing effective solutions, automating systems, and streamlining workflows. These initiatives ensure the platform remains scalable and cost-effective, supporting a fund management system that aligns with or exceeds institutional standards. The role is also tasked with keeping operational policies and procedures current.
About the Team:
The Alternative Capital Partners SRILIAC Business Management division sits within Group Asset Management and is focused on delivering operational and business support to the Swiss Re Insurance-Linked Investment Advisor Corporation (SRILIAC), a U.S.-based investment manager. The team’s primary objective is to facilitate efficient execution and comprehensive oversight of fund operations for all SRILIAC-managed investment activities.
About You:
Looking for a strong self-motivated professional with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and the capacity to balance competing objectives and deliver results. You have the tenacity and hunger to learn while showing sound judgement and operating with efficiency. Moreover, you need:
- Bachelor's degree with solid academic track record
- 1 - 2 years of capital markets industry experience with a background in Fund Middle Office or Fund Operations preferred
- Experience working in asset management, ILS, or investment banking
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Fluency in Python and SQL recommended
- Experience in analyzing and interpreting large data sets
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and multi-task

Swiss Re has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office three days per week.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $78,000 to $116,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
