ILS Business Analyst

We are looking for Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) Business Analyst who will be primarily responsible for both pre-close and post-close transaction management.

 

About the Role

 

In this role you will work closely with the business, clients, administrators, custodians and relevant internal support functions to facilitate the approval, execution and post-close management of structured transactions. 

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Trade entry
  • Transaction monitoring
  • Anti-money Laundering (AML) / Know Your Customer (KYC)
  • Payment and expense schedule creation
  • Trade compliance
  • Profit & Loss (P&L) capture
  • Database management

 

This role is also tasked with maintaining key operational policies and procedures as well as identifying and implementing solutions to remove operational bottlenecks and streamline workflows.

 

 

About the Team

 

Alternative Capital Partners (ACP) ILS Business Management is dedicated to providing specialized transaction and business support to the ILS, Retro and LHSS businesses. We work directly with the business to enable structuring, approval, execution and reporting of structured traditional and capital markets transactions, ensuring deals are monitored/managed through maturity, and internal policies are followed.

About You

 

A self-starter with a strong work ethic, you bring strong analytical and problem-solving abilities!  You thrive being organized, are detail-oriented and an excellent communicator.

 

Additional requirements include:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance preferred
  • 1+ years of capital markets industry experience with a background in ILS Middle Office preferred
  • Fluency in Python and SQL is a strong plus
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting large data sets
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and multi-task

 

Our company uses a hybrid work model requiring at least three days in the office each week, with the option to work onsite full-time if preferred.  This position is not eligible for full-time telework, relocation assistance or visa sponsorship.

 

 

 

 

The estimated base salary range for this position is $78,000 to $116,000.  The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.  At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
