About the Role:
- Build and lead the US Cyber and Technology underwriting team through growth stages.
- Execute a growth strategy for the US Cyber and Technology portfolio and manage the portfolio for profitability.
- Underwrite your own portfolio of cyber and technology risks.
- Maintain a deep understanding of cyber industry and market developments and the potential impact on the portfolio.
- Shape our global cyber & technology underwriting practice through close collaboration with the global cyber lead, other regional cyber leads, actuarial, claims, legal and IT teams.
- Implement the cyber go to market approach in the US in close collaboration with our customer and distribution and alternative risk transfer teams in the US.
- Develop and maintain broker and client professional network to support profitable business origination.
- Represent Swiss Re at conferences and market events as cyber insurance lead in the US market.
About you:
- 10+ years of underwriting experience with 5+ years in US Cyber and Technology insurance market.
- Excellent negotiation skills to achieve bottom line profitability for Swiss Re.
- Balanced technical understanding of cyber risk and strong business acumen.
- Leadership experience and a team-oriented working style.
- Ability to manage stakeholders in a global organization.
- A bachelor's degree is required.
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office three days per week. This role is not eligible for either relocation assistance or visa sponsorship.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $252,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
