Private Equity Investment Professional

About the Role
In this role you will be involved in all main aspects of managing a high-quality private equity portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Stay abreast of financial markets and relevant trends to help inform our investment outlook and asset class strategy
- Provide relevant analysis to our pipeline planning and portfolio construction discussions
- Responsible for defined tasks in the evaluation and due diligence of new investments (private equity, opportunistic credit and infrastructure funds, secondaries, co-investments,) and the preparation of high-quality investment proposals
- Monitor our portfolio through analysis of fund reporting, participation in manager meetings and preparation of monitoring reports
- Work with our internal partners on regular and ad-hoc tasks related to portfolio analytics, financial reporting, or risk management
- Build meaningful relationships with relevant private equity industry contacts and internal stakeholders
About the Team
The Private Equity team is part of the Private Equity & Real Estate unit in Swiss Re Group Asset Management, overseeing a ~USD4 bn portfolio of private equity assets. As a small, dedicated, and diverse team of investment professionals, we collaborate to monitor our existing investments, execute on new transactions, and shape our portfolio; seeking to deliver attractive absolute and relative performance to Swiss Re in a dynamic investment environment.
About You
You readily adapt and contribute to a dynamic, collaborative team environment and are willing to travel as needed. While paying attention to detail comes natural to you, you can also keep track of the bigger picture. With excellent oral and written English skills you bring strong ability to interpret and explain complex topics in a simple and structured way.
Additional requirements include:
- College/university degree or equivalent. CFA or similar qualifications are a plus
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience in private equity / investment management, consulting, corporate finance / M&A or similar roles
- Strong financial acumen, commercial sense, critical thinking, flair for numbers and analytical skills
- Solid project management and organizational abilities
- Proficient in MS Office applications. Familiarity with Bloomberg and other financial software, as well as Gen AI, is a plus
Our work model requires at least three days in the office each week, with the option to work onsite full-time if preferred. This position is not eligible for full-time telework or visa sponsorship, including post-OPT.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $112,000 to $168,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
