About the Team:
The Alternative Capital Partners (ACP) Risk Management team provides independent oversight for Swiss Re Group's efforts to develop and maintain a market for liquid, transparent, and tradable insurance-linked risk products. ACP leverages its collective re/insurance and capital markets experience to offer independent views on relevant risk-related topics, including operational (qualitative) and financial risks (quantitative). The team is global, with members primarily based in New York and Zurich, ensuring diverse perspectives and comprehensive risk analysis. As an ACP Risk Analyst, you will collaborate with other risk management teams, assurance partners, and 1st line risk-taking functions on various risk management topics.

About the Role:
Your main responsibilities include:
- Identifying, evaluating, measuring, and reporting on both quantitative and qualitative risks for the following lines of business:
- ACP's buy-side SEC regulated asset manager
- ACP's sell-side entity focused on structuring and syndicating ILS issuances in the primary market via our FINRA regulated U.S. broker dealer
- Developing and maintaining a risk management program, including design and operational reviews, in support of the entity CRO
- Enhancing analytics to support risk management, especially for 3rd party asset management activities
- Improving risk reports by leading their design and implementation to provide better insights
- Collaborating with Risk Management and other functions to deliver comprehensive risk analysis
About You:
You are a highly motivated self-starter with a proven track record of taking initiative and adapting to fast-changing environments. You excel at working both independently and as part of a team. Your strong multi-tasking and time management skills enable you to thrive in detail-oriented settings. You succeed in rapidly developing business environments by quickly and easily adapting to new circumstances. You are currently working with asset managers, ILS products, and/or risk management with broker/dealers.
Characteristics we are seeking:
Technical Skills:
- Strong academic background in Business or Economics with a focus on Financial Markets.
- 2-3 years of financial services experience, preferably with knowledge of Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) and risk management for broker dealers and asset managers.
- Intermediate data skills and analytics development, especially with insurance-linked products.
Soft Skills:
- Collaborative and able to achieve constructive outcomes on challenging topics.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, high energy, and positivity.
- Effective communication skills.
- Comfortable under pressure and adaptable to change.
Swiss Re has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office three days per week. This role is based in our NYC office.
For New York City the estimated base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
