About the Role 

  

An opportunity to join our Paris office, as Medicin Conseil, to provide local expertise in the consideration of underwriting risks and claims. You will get to work with an enthusiastic group of underwriters, claims assessors, pricing actuaries and client markets, to provide input into individual health risk assessment, claims cases, general risk management and product development. You will also contribute to work on underwriting strategy and develop market facing webinars and articles, as well as representing Swiss Re at industry meetings of medical officers.  

 

   

About the Team 

  

Swiss Re employs a number of doctors around the world, primarily in 3 broad regions – Asia, the Americas and EMEA. We support many of the key life and health functions at Swiss Re including claims, underwriting, product development, pricing and client markets. We help to showcase Swiss Re's medical expertise and research key medical changes and advancements and interpret how these can alter our risk portfolios. 

  

  

About You 

  

This is a part-time role, with hours to be spread across the week 

Essential to be registered with the Ordre du Medicin and work currently in a clinical role in France 

Post-graduate qualification as a physician 

Insurance medicine experience desirable 

Occupational Health experience in France desirable 

Primary language should be French, with English to a good business level of proficiency 

Good presentation skills will be necessary for the role 

Good numeracy and statistical ability are important 

Willingness to travel within France

For France, the base salary range for this position is between 90,000 EUR  and EUR 134,000  for a full-time role.

The specific salary offered considers:

• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,

• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience. In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
