About the Role

Your job will focus on evaluating, underwriting, and originating facultative property business primarily for the French market in close collaboration with an experienced team. You will be able to assess a wide range of risk types with your experience and by utilizing state-of-the-art models. Your role will be complemented by fostering and developing client and broker relationships.
You will collaborate with key account managers, client managers, market underwriters and treaty underwriters in a cross-functional team. Together we build on our partnerships with our clients and share our knowledge, with the objective to bring value for the client and Swiss Re. This role offers you lots of space to develop own ideas and find creative solutions.
Key responsibilities:
• Evaluation, underwriting and conclusion of facultative property insurance business primarily for the French market
• Developing client and broker relationships to achieve Swiss Re's vision and create value for our clients
• Cooperation with risk-engineering, contracts, client managers as well as treaty underwriters in a cross-functional team
• Developing strategies to expand our position on current accounts and to cross-sell other lines of business in cooperation with the client managers
• Co-creation of innovative reinsurance concepts

About you
Essentials:
• Minimum 5-10+ years of experience in broking, insurance, or reinsurance of Commercial and Industrial Property Risks
• University degree preferably in Economics; Engineering; Science; or equivalent work experience,
• Broad network into the (direct) insurance world across clients and brokers (preferably to the French market)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient in French and English
• Willingness for travel
• You are attracted by working in an international environment and are an outstanding teammate
For France, the base salary range for this position is between 90,000 EUR and EUR 134,000 for a full-time role.

• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience. In the situation where you do not meet all the requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based annual bonus.
