Actuarial Portfolio Management Intern
Are you an actuarial university student looking for an internship program? This is an opportunity for university students interested in an actuarial career, to learn basic actuarial methods and gain further understanding of the insurance and reinsurance business.
About the Role
We are looking for a pro-active, motivated, and results-oriented intern to join the Actuarial Portfolio Management team within Corporate Solutions in São Paulo. Main responsibilities include:
- Develop queries and reports to help us analyze various data from our pricing tools to gain further insights in our portfolios and monitor changes over time.
- Build templates to help us analyze the profitability of some of our portfolios and assist us with our quarterly profitability review work.
- Analysis of external data for benchmarking and for monitoring trends that impact our business.
- Assist us in updating parameters that we use in our tools and actuarial indications.
- Other actuarial projects as needed.
About the Team
We are the actuarial team providing support to multiple Corporate Solutions businesses across Latin America. Key responsibilities for our team include loss ratio projections, rating plan development, and parameter updates. We work closely with our business partners in Underwriting, Product, Finance, Claims, Reserving, Data Science and others.
About You
- Studying Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or another quantitative field – Graduation expected on the second semester of 2025 or beyond.
- Advanced English – You will need to communicate with teams from other regions. Spanish is desirable but not required.
- Good communication skills.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Desirable knowledge in VBA.
- Desirable knowledge in SQL.
- Desirable knowledge in R or Python.
