Energy Property Underwriter (Hybrid)

Based in São Paulo, the role involves underwriting Energy accounts, managing broker and client relationships, and engaging with internal stakeholders. Responsibilities include: 

• Growing the business and maintaining strong client and broker relationships.
• Analyzing coverage, exposures, wordings, premiums, and insurability of energy risks (power plants, pipelines, mining, oil & gas facilities, petrochemicals), prepare quotations, structure programs, fac reinsurance, and offer proposals for leading or following business (new and renewals).
• Developing strategic relationships with brokers and clients to ensure proper documentation and grow the business.
• Coordinating cross-selling opportunities within Corporate Solutions.
• Participating in special projects and contributing to team operations.
• Ensuring thorough documentation and clear communication with clients and brokers. 
• Build and maintain knowledge of Brazil insurance market in respects of wording, insurance law and regulation as well as brokers and competitors.

Essentials:

• Bachelor's degree required (engineering, administration, economics, etc).
• General knowledge of and/or exposure to other insurance disciplines, i.e., contract wording, claims, risk surveys.
• Negotiation skills, Brazilian insurance market. 
• Good level of English

• Spanish
• Global Programs experience.
• Proficient MS-Office.
• Availability for eventual business trips.
