FP&A Intern

About the Role
The Latin America FP&A Team is looking for a highly motivated intern who's interested to collaborate and learn in a multidisciplinary and changing environment, developing yourself on financial analysis, reporting and planning for the Latin America region. As a member of our team, you will be responsible to support the team on its main processes such as: financial business partnering with Swiss Re Corporate Solutions regional product leaders, steering local initiatives in respect of budgeting & projections.
Key responsibilities:
- Help with budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data, updating models, and preparing reports for budget meetings.
- Assist the quarterly reporting activities.
- Perform financial analysis, to assess financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in updating and maintaining financial databases, spreadsheets, and reports, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Take initiative to learn about different areas of finance, ask questions, and seek opportunities for growth and development.
- Provide administrative support to finance team members, such as scheduling meetings, organizing files.
- Support finance team members in ad-hoc projects, special assignments, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, treasury, operations and business, to exchange information and coordinate activities.
- Learn and utilize financial software systems, tools, and applications to perform tasks and analyze data effectively.
About the Team
The Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Latin America Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team supports managing and steering the financial performance of the Latin American region of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and its regional management team. We are further developing and strengthening financial steering capabilities to build a robust business plan supporting the regions business growth and act as a challenger to the business. Working within the broader Finance Swiss Re Corporate Solution team, you will join a highly motivated and dynamic team in an interesting and complex environment and will get the opportunity to build up reporting, consolidation & analytical capabilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to get a strong overview of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions product lines, regions, and finance units, liaise with Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Operations, and Product units.
About You
Must have:
- University student, preferably Economics, Business, Accounting or Engineering, with graduation expected in December 2025 or 2026
- Very good comprehension of MS Office (e.g. Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
- Accuracy and Numerical Competence
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Flexible and open for new tasks/challenges, willing to learn
Nice to Have:
- Finance/Accounting experience is an advantage
- Coding knowledge is an advantage
- Advanced English
