About the Role:
As an IFRS Controlling & Reporting Specialist, you'll be at the intersection of financial reporting, technical accounting, and system development, ensuring our reporting processes meet the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency. You'll work with diverse stakeholders to implement solutions that drive business value through enhanced financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:

Support all specific closing IFRS requirements (technical & non-technical) that will ensure timely and accurate quarterly and annual closing processes for Latin American carriers and region

Execute quarterly IFRS reporting processes and applications used for Group Level reporting and build efficiencies and automations

Perform tasks with a high degree of autonomy, while leveraging and working closely with all relevant team members and Group support to deliver on clear objectives

Support and ensure process and system changes within the IT landscape

Ensure operational excellence through the execution of quarterly and annual internal controls supported by control evidence

Operate in a fast-paced environment being agile and flexible while demonstrating eagerness to learn and build automation
About the Team:
As a Subject Matter Expert, you'll join our dynamic team of 8 professionals specializing in IFRS 17 reporting across the Americas region. Reporting directly to the Team Lead of Corporate Solutions IFRS Reporting & Controlling Americas, you'll be part of a collaborative group that plays a crucial role in ensuring financial reporting excellence. Our team works closely with key stakeholders including the Corporate Solutions Business Unit CFO, Group Accounting, IT departments, and various other internal partners to deliver strategic financial insights and reporting solutions. We pride ourselves on our technical expertise, collaborative approach, and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial reporting integrity.
About You:
You're a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in dynamic environments where no two days are the same. You combine strong technical knowledge with excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. You're passionate about continuous improvement and have the analytical capabilities to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

College graduate with BA or BS in Accounting

Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver quality output on short deadlines

Solid understanding of IFRS accounting

Excellent command of English (spoken and written)

5+ years insurance industry experience

Agile and flexible, ability to operate within a changing environment and navigate ambiguity

Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively

Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and experiences

Experience working in both collaborative team environments and independently
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the São Paulo office at least three days per week
