Intern - Sales Operations
Are you a curious, driven student ready to dive into the dynamic world of reinsurance? This is your chance to gain hands-on experience within a global leader in risk, working alongside a collaborative and multicultural team right in the heart of Latin America. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love keeping things organized, and are eager to make a real impact — we want to hear from you!
About the Role
As an L&H Sales Operations Intern, you will play a meaningful supporting role within Swiss Re's Life & Health Latin America Sales Operations team. From day-to-day administration to systems management and client support, you'll be at the center of the action — helping ensure that our regional operations run smoothly and efficiently. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a strong foundation in reinsurance operations while developing your professional skills in a truly international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Sales Operations with all relevant non-client-facing activities across the L&H Latin America portfolio, including day-to-day administration and general business support processes
- Manage client records including contracts, correspondence, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Update and maintain systems with timely and precise data entry to support operational efficiency
- Assist with contract signatures and endorsements, ensuring processes are followed correctly and deadlines are met
- Prepare presentations and run reports as requested by the Sales Operations team to support decision-making and client management
- Collaborate across functions in a multi-disciplinary and multicultural environment, contributing positively to team goals
About the Team
The Sales Operations team is a service-oriented, client-focused group that processes treaty submissions for the Latin American Life & Health Treaty team. Acting as the first point of contact for our clients' administrative needs, the team plays a vital role in ensuring seamless operations across the region. You'll be joining a team that values collaboration, precision, and a strong service mindset — all within a vibrant, multicultural setting.
About You
We're looking for someone with an analytical mindset and strong interpersonal skills — someone who can build effective working relationships across disciplines and cultures. You're organized, adaptable, and comfortable working under tight deadlines without losing your attention to detail. You bring a positive, proactive attitude and a genuine curiosity about the world of (re)insurance.
We Are Looking for Candidates Who Meet These Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business Administration, Economics, International Relations, or a related field at a Brazilian higher education institution — with graduation expected in 2027 or later
- Advanced English proficiency — you'll be working within a regional Latin America team where English is essential for communication
- Excellent organizational skills — you are flexible, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines
- Availability to work in a hybrid model — with a minimum of three days per week in our São Paulo office
These Are Additional Nice to Haves:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Word
- Familiarity with (re)insurance concepts or the financial services industry
- Spanish language skills — a great asset given our Latin American focus
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tasks with a positive, solution-oriented mindset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings
