About the Role

The Latin America actuarial team within Swiss Re Corporate Solutions is looking to hire an individual to lead actuarial analyses for our Latin America P&C portfolios.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with actuaries and business partners from Brazil and the rest of LatAm. In addition, the individual will gain exposure to a wide range of actuarial techniques, commercial products, and regional standards. Projects consist of regular quarterly/annual updates along with less frequent deep-dives into segment loss experience. A sample of responsibilities include:

• Quarterly reviews of projected profitability and segmentation analysis to better understand relative profitability;
• Annual pricing model calibration to align with internal profit targets and/or external data;
• Partnership with underwriting leadership regarding strategic actions;
• Occasional pricing support for individual large accounts;
• Provide actuarial support for technical notes for the Brazil regulatory entity.

About the Team

We provide actuarial support to Corporate Solutions businesses across the Americas as well as own the development of many global actuarial models and parameters. We work closely with our P&C business leaders, providing guidance on profitability and needed rating plan changes to improve performance. We also partner with actuaries around the world to develop efficient cross-product models and consistent parameters.

About You

• University graduate with an actuarial degree. 
• Minimum three years of actuarial experience, preferably in a pricing role in Property/Casualty.
• Experience working with property and/or casualty products preferred.
• Experience with SQL, R, and/or Python preferred.
• Minimum of intermediate - advanced conversational English. 
• Critical skills:
