Property Underwriter Large Risks (Hybrid)

About the Role:
As a Property Underwriter for Large Risks, you'll be at the intersection of technical underwriting and client relationship management in a fast-paced environment that rewards flexibility and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and assess Property submissions regarding exposure and coverages for new and existing clients
- Prepare quotations, structure programs, arrange facultative reinsurance, and develop proposals for leading or following business
- Build and nurture relationships through regular broker and client visits
- Develop strategic approaches to optimize positions on current accounts and cross-sell other lines of business in collaboration with sales teams
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Brazilian insurance market, including wordings, insurance law, regulations, broker landscape, and competitive environment.

About You:

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, administration, economics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of underwriting experience with a focus on large accounts
- General knowledge of other insurance disciplines including contract wording, claims, and risk surveys
- Strong negotiation skills and established network within the Brazilian insurance market
- Availability to work in a hybrid work model - at least three days per week at the office.

- Proficiency in English and Spanish
- Experience with Global Programs
- Advanced MS-Office skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet deliverables, implement plans, and conduct analysis
- Flexibility for occasional business travel
