Senior Accounting Analyst

About the Role

As a Senior Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for complex accounting processes and will serve as a technical reference within the team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement in our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage relevant profit and loss (P&L) and balance sheet accounts, including entries, reconciliations, and accounting validations
  • Lead critical stages of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closings with excellence and punctuality
  • Develop financial reports and accounting analyses that will provide strategic support for decision-making
  • Act as a focal point for internal and external areas on accounting and audit matters
  • Identify risks and propose improvements in accounting processes and controls
  • Support junior and mid-level analysts technically, contributing to team development
  • Ensure adherence to local accounting standards (BRGAAP), international standards (IFRS), and the company's internal policies

 

About the Team

Our Accounting team is responsible for ensuring the integrity and compliance of the company's financial statements. We work closely with various business areas to ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with applicable accounting standards, providing reliable financial information for strategic decision-making.

 

About You

You are an analytical and meticulous professional, capable of working with technical autonomy and collaborating effectively in a team. Your clear and assertive communication skills allow you to be a reference for colleagues and a trusted partner for internal and external stakeholders.

 

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields
  • Solid experience (minimum of 5 years) in accounting, preferably in insurance companies, reinsurers, or financial institutions
  • Mastery of local (BRGAAP) and international (IFRS) accounting standards
  • Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and advanced Excel tools
  • Analytical profile, critical thinking, organization, and communication skills
  • English language skills

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Experience in accounting transformation projects
  • Knowledge of financial process automation
  • Familiarity with data analysis and business intelligence applied to accounting

 

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
