Senior Distribution Manager

About the Role


  • Originate business in São Paulo Capital area for Corporate Risks Solutions (Property, Casualty, Engineering, Surety, Marine and Agro).
  • Creation and maintenance of large multinational broker relationships.
  • Origination and negotiation of large and complex deals through joint opportunity trades with local underwriting team.
  • Work on projects including business plans, strategies, development/management solutions for renewals.
  • Work with cross functional internal stakeholders in developing the business.
  • Analyze and communicate market developments including advising on market strategies.
  • Pro-actively steer distribution channels including identification and execution of pipeline strategies using data analytic tools to steer efforts and measure performance
  • Represent Swiss Re Corporate Solutions at conferences, senior client/insurance brokers meeting.
  • Interaction with other parties:
    • Internally: Line of business managers, Business Service, IT and other support functions such as Legal, Accounting and Tax.
    • Externally: Insurance distribution channels, corporate clients, relationship managers from Bank.


About the Team


The Distribution Management Team is responsible for generating and driving new business opportunities, managing internal and external relationship, portfolio tracking and maintenance strengthening Swiss Re Corso's presence in the insurance market in a sustainable way through your established network with partner brokers and customers.

You will be part of a highly motivated team composed of Senior Distribution Managers, dealing with changes in an agile and collaborative environment. 


About you


  • University degree in law, business & administration, economics or equivalent.
  • Availability to work in person in the office 3 times a week.
  • 5 - 10 years' experience in the Insurance Market.
  • Excellent team spirit and networker.
  • Strong business acumen and result orientation.
  • Customer focus with senior insurance industry expertise with well-established relationships with corporate brokers in Brazil;
  • Commercial profile with ability to engage on complex negotiations taking responsibility engaging all involved stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle conflict situations and apply common business sense to align multiple parties’ interests.
  • Self-motivating and eager to seek challenge by exploring as well as expanding boundaries of existing business and transaction model.
  • Advanced English
  • Spanish knowledge will be considered a plus
