About the Role

 

You will be responsible for setting clear priorities, managing the team, including goal setting and performance reviews, approving time sheet and vacations, providing guidance and leadership to your team and handle various other managerial topics as required.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Measure, analyze and improve the performance of the individuals/team/markets according to the set of goals and targets.
  • Mentor and develop the team members to ensure good performance and growth of people - to either become future team leaders or subject matter experts.
  • Represent the team and establish strong and effective collaboration towards functions in Latin America (Client Market/UW/etc.) and other Global Departments.

 

 

About the Team

 

We are a friendly and diverse group of individuals located in Mexico and Brazil with varying levels of experience in the reinsurance industry.  We support Client Underwriting and Underwriting Property, Casualty and Special Lines teams for Brazil, Andean Region and Southern Cone in delivering on their core mandates. We are part of a global team called Reinsurance Business Operations, and we work closely with our colleagues all over the world.

 

About You

 

You have strong leadership skills, enjoy being proactive, taking ownership of topics and proposing solutions to issues without being asked. You always have a bigger picture in mind but can pay attention to details at the same time.

 

You have excellent organizational skills, are able to balance multiple priorities, delivering results in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment. You have outstanding interpersonal skills, allowing you to easily identify clients' needs and make sure they are met, while simultaneously enhancing the team spirit, effective collaboration, smooth exchange of ideas and opinions and moving towards common goals.

 

You’re an ambitious and energetic leader with strong analytical skills and developed critical thinking and decision-making skills.

 

  • Previous experience with leading a team, preferably in the area of shared services or financial services.
  • Ideally 5 years working experience within insurance/finance environment.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, developed critical thinking.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
