About the Role


A member of the Asia Legal & Compliance team and member of the Corporate Solutions China Legal and Compliance team with primary focus on managing legal & compliance issues relating to Corporate Solutions' business and operation in China. The legal advice and support provided would include general corporate issues, regulatory and compliance issues, product development, insurance contracts and claims.


About the Team


  • Advise on legal and compliance issues related to corporate governance and general corporate matters relating to the company's operation and business in China.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and conduct gap analysis and enable execution of implementation plan.
  • Review insurance policy terms and conditions for the regulatory filing.
  • Review and negotiate commercial agreements with business partners, agents or brokers.
  • Manage external counsel as required.
  • Advise on compliance matters relating to the company's operation in China, such as Anti-Bribery or Corruption, Anti-Fraud, etc,
  • Support the Board Secretary on operation of the Board of Directors.
  • Deliver necessary legal and compliance trainings.
  • Other matters as instructed by the Head Legal of the company.


About You


  • Bachelor degree or above, majoring in law
  • Qualified Chinese lawyer
  • 5 years or above of legal or compliance professional experience in insurance companies, other financial industry or law firms
  • Good communication and cross-cultural skills
  • Strong business acumen and accountability
  • Attention to details and ability to work independently
  • Managing work efficiently including proper prioritization
  • Good team player
