About the Team

As the Marketing and Media Manager, you will provide strategic and tactical marketing and communications support for the Personal Lines business of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions China (CorSo). 
You will build and lead the marketing function and team of Personal Lines China (iptiQ P&C).  You will be responsible for creating the marketing function for our iptiQ P&C business in China including processes, frameworks, programs, efficient sales journeys for distribution partners and consumer customers, marketing tools and analytics, applying BE solutions/services, etc.  The role includes planning and implementing strategic marketing initiatives and campaigns for B2B and D2C across the marketing value chain as well as build brand recognition.  Building a marketing function with a keen eye on the customer and how to maximize our and our partner's marketing dollars.  Keeping all our marketing material on brand, fresh, and on mark as well as working with partner's brand in co-marketing initiatives and campaigns. 
You will also have a great opportunity to bring in your skills and expertise in the digital areas of mobile marketing, social media marketing and other innovative methods of building a comprehensive marketing program for Personal Lines to drive our brand image, reputation and finally the conversion funnel. 
In addition, you will support the communications requirements for iptiQ P&C by managing our external media agency and secure the execution of the communication plan and needs from personal lines and as further advised by regulatory changes, CorSo overall, and iptiQ business.  You will deliver to the Communications Business Partner at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions China the tasks required to meet all personal lines communications programs and campaigns instrumental to engage/influence stakeholders, educate consumers, promote thought leadership and manage / protect our reputation.  
This is a key leadership and management role.
In this role, you form part of the iptiQ family within Swiss Re.  iptiQ is a Division within the Swiss Re Group and forms a risk-tech solution building a digital insurance engine across the globe.
 

About the Role

Overall:
•    Creates the marketing function, build and manage the team for iptiQ P&C personal lines China.  
•    Develops, coordinates, and implements marketing and communications activities and campaigns 
•    Creates and continuously improves our marketing principles and best practices, advises on communication as required and where necessary to fill in resources gaps.  Align marketing and communications so we move effectively forward in building sales with specialist marketing support in digital and conventional approaches, promoting our brand, leveraging our thought leadership themes in marketing.  
•    Excellent collaboration in stakeholder management across local, regional, global teams and intra-group businesses. 
•    Manages budget for all relevant projects and ensures results are reported and monitored thoroughly and accurately, on a regular basis
•    Sources and manages vendors to support campaigns execution
•    Builds marketing KPIs and analytics capabilities as well as implement tools with digital-native journeys across the B2B2C marketing value chain – we want to stand out as the most digital friendly partner internally and externally. 
•    Works with regional and local vertical/cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Communications, Products, Partnership Marketing and Operations to define value propositions and translate such into concrete programs, products proposals and customer services recommendations etc.
Marketing related:
•    Plans and leads primary and secondary marketing research to understand competitive landscape and consumer needs
•    Develops and manages marketing strategy and related marketing campaigns 
•    Plans and implements content marketing, social marketing and other digital marketing initiatives; at the same time tracks and analyzes campaign results, lead generations and customer insights, with the support of a Digital Marketing Manager and a Digital Marketing Analyst
•    Leads and oversees marketing channels and materials development 
•    Manages the brand and branding needs in the country
Communications/media related:
•    Develops communications plan and leads local activities including messaging, media & influencers engagement, conference participation, and media monitoring/social listening 
•    Aligns with regional/global communication strategy, and ensures adherence to our messaging and brand framework 
•    Writes and curates content (written and creative) for a range of communications channels from company website to social media platforms to internal and client e-newsletters 
•    Leverages the most effective media mix across earned, paid, own and social channels 
•    Supports regulatory required communications and compiles campaign summary reports
•    Manages reputation of Personal Lines in China, and provides issue and crisis communications support
•    Provides internal communications support including facilitating internal meetings and producing content for internal publications
 

About You

•    A University degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration
•    ~15+ years of professional-level experience across all marketing functions with strong underlying digital marketing background (some communication experience a plus) within this timeframe ~5+ years management experience (managing a team)
•    Hands-on experience in delivering impactful marketing campaigns across various direct channels
•    Deep knowledge of digital ecosystems and media/influencers landscape in China
•    Proven skills in curating content and managing social media/digital channels in China
•    Strategic thinking plus excellent execution 
•    Strong project management and planning capabilities 
•    Excellent storytelling, writing and editing skills in Mandarin and in English
•    Experience in primary insurance/finance industry or in Internet /e-commerce is preferable
•    Successful track record in working in a diverse MNC environment with multiple stakeholders
