About the Role

You will be responsible for executing the following tasks:
•    Maintaining a proactive approach towards the management and control of claims of the Business Unit (BU) in line with claims strategy.
•    Promoting and executing a market driven approach in the professional management of large claims with clients, (re)insurance intermediaries and claims professionals in the legal, adjusting and claims support fields.  It also requires involvement in the local insurance industry and participation in appropriate market events
•    Developing sound relationships with clients to facilitate a market driven approach in the professional management of the BU’s liabilities and reserves, and assisting in conducting claims reviews.
•    Identify market and product development, legal changes which might have an impact on loss trends.
•    Liaising closely with client management and underwriting to ensure that there is a transparent claims feedback loop in place through which claims and other client related information is presented to internal clients within the BU.
•    Assisting in promoting the claim team’s integration with other operational teams within the BU.
•    Assisting in ensuring that all administrative and process functions set down by claim internal guidelines are properly conducted in a professional and timely manner.
•    Adopting best practice in the BU to meet and exceed if possible, the standards required by Asia Claims and by Group Internal Audit.
•    Assisting in local projects, seminars, conferences, training workshops and professional development exercise, including associated international travel, as required by Claims Unit Head.

About You

•    Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, especially claim handling of export PDL and product recall
•    Excellent influencing, marketing and negotiation skills;
•    Strong presentation skills;
•    Ability and willingness to take initiative and implement measures in a goal-oriented manner.
•    Strong written and verbal communication;
•    Demonstrated self starter and effective problem solver;
•    Results orientated with an ability to influence and drive resolution in cross functional teams;
•    Commitment to, and experience of, working in a team-based environment
