About the Role
We are looking for a Communications Manager to join our APAC Communications team, based in Beijing, Hong Kong, or Singapore. This is a generalist role with exposure across both external and internal communications, suited to a communications professional looking to broaden their remit within a complex, global organisation.
The role sits within Group Communications and works closely with senior communications leads, business stakeholders, and regional subject matter experts. You will move fluidly across workstreams depending on the team’s priorities, contributing where you are needed most.
Key Responsibilities:
External Communications
- Draft and edit communications materials including press releases, media briefing notes, executive messaging, and thought leadership content
- Support media monitoring and analysis, tracking coverage across key APAC markets and flagging relevant developments
- Assist in the preparation of executive interview briefings and spokesperson materials
- Help coordinate media engagement logistics, including journalist outreach support and follow-up
Internal Communications
- Support the development of employee communications content including intranet articles, town hall materials, leadership messages, and announcements
- Assist in coordinating cross-functional communications projects involving multiple stakeholders
About You
- 5–8 years of experience in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years
- Strong writing and editing skills in English — this is the core requirement; you should be able to produce clean, clear, well-structured copy with minimal supervision
- Some exposure to media relations, corporate communications, or content production, either in-house or agency-side
- Experience in financial services or insurance is preferred; candidates from other multinational or professional services environments will also be considered
- Excellent written communication skills across different formats and registers — from crisp news-style copy to longer editorial content
- Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and across different teams and time zones
- Energetic and creative, with the ability to think laterally and bring fresh perspectives to communications challenges
- Curious, proactive, and willing to learn — this role offers significant breadth and you should be someone who takes initiative
