Customer and Distribution Manager
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Head Customer and Distribution Manager SEA, you will drive Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ strategy with distribution partners and key customers.
The primary responsibilities of the role are:
Distribution Management
Strategy & Planning
- Align with brokers on local strategic priorities
- Execute go-to-market plans with managed brokers to achieve top and bottom line goals
- Understand brokers' country and regional strategies and communicate insights internally
- Implement local and regional distribution campaigns
Engagement & Execution
- Define and manage regular engagement models (e.g., quarterly reviews)
- Build and manage deal pipelines in coordination with underwriters
- Support portfolio priorities (OBR) with managed brokers
Data & Insights
- Analyze broker performance data to identify opportunities and trends
- Use Swiss Re's thought leadership to strengthen broker relationships
- Gather and share market intelligence with internal teams
Escalation & Governance
- Act as primary contact for broker issues requiring escalation
- Support internal deal escalations for complex cases
- Contribute to planning and executing Broker Service Agreements
Customer Management
Strategy & Planning
- Develop go-to-market plans for key customers aligned with financial and strategic goals.
- Build and deepen relationships with key external stakeholders.
- Ensure consistent knowledge sharing with underwriting, claims, and other internal teams.
- Support regional initiatives to enhance key customer relationships.
Engagement & Business Development
- Understand client needs and act as a trusted advisor.
- Generate new business opportunities and optimize product offerings.
- Lead all business transactions, renewals, and strategic relationship activities.
- Drive client negotiations and coordinate cross-functional teams for delivery.
- Prepare and contribute to executive-level meetings.
Knowledge & Innovation
- Promote thought leadership with customers via events, webinars, and publications (e.g., SIGMA).
- Facilitate forums, learning sessions, and speaking opportunities.
Compliance & Performance
- Ensure adherence to Swiss Re’s business guidelines and Code of Conduct.
- Model Swiss Re’s values and key behaviors.
- Meet all relevant internal and external deadlines.
Performance Criteria
- Financial metrics (e.g., GWP, CoR, retention, number of opportunities).
- Contribution to strategic and cultural objectives.
- Progress against agreed strategic initiatives.
About You
Education
- University degree or equivalent professional experience.
Professional Experience
- 7-10 years of insurance industry experience in client, distribution, underwriting, risk management
- Strong network across brokers, corporate risk managers, and insurance professionals.
- Proven success in sales, relationship management, and complex deal execution.
- Experience with CRM systems
