About the role

Based in Singapore, as a member of a diverse global Cyber Reinsurance Team, you will underwrite and market profitable new and existing reinsurance business opportunities with clients in the Asia-Pacific region. You will play an instrumental role in shaping our Cyber underwriting portfolio and will be a key contributor in executing our strategy and expanding our portfolio. Client and market responsibilities will be defined considering your profile and preferences.

In this role, you will:

  • Originate, analyse and underwrite Cyber treaty business in compliance with our risk appetite, guidelines and within allocated authority
  • Maintain and develop Swiss Re's relationships with dedicated clients and brokers
  • Keep abreast of the regional market environment and understand Cyber industry trends and the potential impacts on clients
  • Collaborate with the broader Swiss Re team on joint business and for cyber specific projects
  • Represent Swiss Re as Cyber expert in the industry
  • Be part of a global Cyber Team

About you

  • You hold a university degree or equivalent
  • Professional experience in a (re-)insurance underwriting role, with solid understanding of (re-)insurance structures, costing methods and contract wordings
  • Knowledge of Cyber (re-)insurance products is a plus
  • You enjoy client contact. You bring strong communication skills to understand client needs and jointly achieve strong outcomes
  • Strong motivation and willingness to drive business forward in a profitable and client centric manner
  • You identify with your team and are eager to be successful together by combining strengths and having fun growing together
  • You are highly self-motivated and get things done effectively. You strike a good balance between precision and pragmatism
  • Business fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous, particularly for client engagement in Greater China.”
