About the Role

As Head of Financial Planning & Analysis for P&C Reinsurance in APAC, you'll be at the intersection of finance and strategy, providing critical insights that inform business decisions and drive performance across the region. You are at the pulse of your regional business and identify and translate trends into tangible forward looking scenarios. You'll lead a talented finance team while collaborating with senior stakeholders to optimize financial outcomes and support strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Business Partnering - Drive the markets' strategic and financial planning process and ensure business decisions are based on sound financial analysis; enable data-driven renewal steering and reporting; support identification and implementation of growth initiatives; provide comprehensive financial advice on business initiatives and large transaction opportunities.
• People Leadership - Lead a diverse team of finance professionals across the region while attracting, developing and motivating high-performing talent.
• Financial Performance Management - Ensure and facilitate transparency of financial performance across APAC markets through insightful reporting, variance analysis, and projections. Link business outcome into financial results, KPIs measure and an IFRS storyline.
• Risk & Control - Establish financial procedures and controls in accordance with Group guidelines, support liaison with internal and external auditors in relation to your areas of responsibility.
• Process Excellence - Enable Market Units to focus on business origination by ensuring smooth financial processes and implementing efficiency improvements. With your team, you assist your Market Units in assessing and delivering large transactions.
• Project Leadership - Lead and contribute to projects enabling the implementation of the growth strategy in the region.
• Ensure effective and efficient technology empowered high quality delivery from the Bangalore Hub to the entire P&C Re Finance organisation

About the Team

As Head FP&A P&C Re APAC, you will be a member of the P&C Re Finance leadership team, acting as a strategic business partner to P&C Re markets in the region while enabling the Finance transformation strategy. You will support APAC management's decision-making by providing timely, relevant financial information and analysis to optimize profitability, reporting directly to the CFO P&C Re. A critical aspect of this role is leading our Bangalore team of approximately 20 professionals who serve different departments within the P&C Re Finance Division. This team functions as the backbone of our operations, ensuring alignment and standardization globally through scalable processes and consistent delivery.

Professional Experience & Competencies

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CFA) preferred
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in finance roles with at least 5 years in leadership positions
• Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in insurance or reinsurance
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes
• Experience working in or with APAC markets and understanding of regional business dynamics
