'Solutions' is a central pillar of the reinsurance strategy, critical both to the development of the core reinsurance activities as well as for developing new revenue streams for Swiss Re.
Solutions are services and platforms delivered to clients that lead to new, more or better business profit generation for Swiss Re that would not happen through our traditional Reinsurance business. Key to the success of this business is our ability to serve existing clients and win new clients with a scope that extends beyond Swiss Re's traditional reinsurance clients to cover the full scope of all insurance companies and non-insurance partners in adjacent sectors where our risk knowledge can add to their success.
Solutions partners with Swiss Re’s insurance clients to strengthen portfolio performance and enable sustainable growth through scalable, technology-enabled offerings. Current solutions include the MagnumXP and PromiseXP suites:
- MagnumXP automates underwriting across both initial assessment and secondary evidence stages.
- PromiseXP streamlines claims intake, triage, and decisioning.
The solutions portfolio continues to expand through close collaboration with customers to address evolving business needs.

About the Role
Are you energized by helping clients adopt new technologies and propositions? Do you bring strong commercial drive and a track record of converting opportunities into results? Do you enjoy collaborating across teams to deliver outcomes for clients? If so, this is an exciting opportunity within our Solutions Business Development team.
- Deliver fee-based income targets aligned to the annual and rolling three-year business plan.
- Own your revenue target and build a clear plan to achieve it.
- Help shape and execute the go-to-market and sales strategy for assigned Solutions products.
- Build and manage a disciplined pipeline of leads and opportunities, from prospecting through onboarding and delivery.
- Lead cross-functional teams to progress and close opportunities successfully.
- Drive end-to-end client engagement, including developing and delivering high-quality pitch materials, negotiating commercial terms, and overcoming objections.
- Apply a structured, compliant approach to pipeline management, adhering to all distribution governance and compliance requirements.
- Partner with Marketing and Product Development to create and deliver impactful marketing activity to promote Solutions.
- Conduct market and competitor research and engage clients to refine our differentiation and strengthen our proposition.
- Capture client feedback and recommend product enhancements to inform roadmaps and maximize commercial upside.
- Build new relationships with clients and selected non-insurance segments to expand the reach of the Swiss Re Solutions franchise.
About the Team
The team is made up of 6 Sales professionals who are passionate about expanding our Solutions business. Our role is to engage Swiss Re's clients and sell our Solutions that support our existing Reinsurance business or develop new client relationships. You will be reporting to the Head of Solutions BD for APAC.
About You
- 10+ years’ relevant sales and business development experience within financial services, technology, or professional services, with a proven track record of consistently achieving revenue and sales targets.
- Strong understanding of Life & Health (L&H) insurance technology and risk management, with the ability to influence clients to adopt new technologies and propositions.
- Prior experience working with a life insurer is advantageous.
- Demonstrated capability in go-to-market strategy and B2B marketing, with an ability to translate propositions into compelling client messaging.
- Effective relationship builder with strong networking, collaboration, and influencing skills.
- Experience holding commercial account or market responsibility in B2B client service and/or a solutions, technology, or platform-oriented business is a plus.
