About The Team
The L&H Valuation & Analysis team for Swiss Re Asia is responsible for delivering timely actuarial valuation, reporting and analysis activities for all L&H reinsurance business written in Asia. The team is part of the Global L&H Valuation & Analysis team and eventually comes under the wider remit of Global Finance Function.
About The Role
This role is mainly responsible for actuarial reporting under local regulatory basis (IFRS4) and statutory basis (IFRS17) for Swiss Re Asia Ltd (SRAL).
Your main responsibilities include:
- Support SRAL's Certifying Actuary by providing oversight of actuarial reporting activities in SRAL home and its branches and performing consolidated reporting for SRAL on local regulatory basis (IFRS4) and statutory basis (IFRS17).
- Perform analysis on IFRS4 and IFRS17 liabilities, and support preparation of commentary on the business movements.
- Support quarterly MAS reporting, including solvency reporting, as well as other deliverables such as ORSA and stress testing exercise.
- Support compliance with MAS regulations and internal governance requirements.
- Apply controls and validation checks on actuarial results.
- Assist in internal and external audit processes, including preparation of supporting documentation.
- Communicate progress, issues, and findings to senior team members in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with valuation teams in Asia region, local carrier management teams and other stakeholders to support reporting deliverables.
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Support documentation and maintenance of actuarial processes.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and support for actuarial reporting activities as required.

Position Requirement / About You
- At least 7 years of L&H (re)insurance experience in either valuation or pricing functions.
- Attained or close to attaining Fellowship in FIA, FIAA, FFA, FSA or another internationally recognized actuarial qualification.
- Strong knowledge of insurance accounting, reserving and solvency regime in Singapore.
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite. Knowledge in Python or R is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity.
- High attention to detail with a structured approach.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to influence stakeholders and articulate complex topics clearly.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
