About the Role

 

Swiss Re are looking for a successful sales leader to lead the product development and sales of our Life & Health analytics platform for the insurance ecosystem in ANZ, and determine the product development roadmap. You will have the rare opportunity to pioneer and contribute to our monetisation efforts by handling and upselling to current clients and acquiring new partners. Your focus will be on understanding client needs, attracting new clients and users to the platform, negotiating contract terms and account management.

 

In addition to client interaction, the role involves working closely with a team of local and global Swiss Re insurance specialists in fields including actuarial, data science, claims, underwriting and customer experience.

 

About the Team

 

Swiss Re L&H Solutions uses Swiss Re's risk expertise and new technologies to help clients grow and improve profitability by developing together innovative solutions, focusing on finding new ways to reduce the protection gap. Swiss Re has a strong global reputation for market leading solutions such as its underwriting platform, Magnum. Over the last 2 years, we have co-developed with the global analytics firm Palantir to produce a platform of market leading insurance applications. The platform has achieved success with pilot clients in the ANZ market and it's now time to accelerate adoption with clients. Your role is Sydney based and forms part of a global team working on commercialisation of the platform.

 

About You

 

  • You excel in client facing roles and feel at ease with technical subjects (without needing to be "the specialist"). You have a solid record in the insurance sector with wide exposure to different parts of the insurance business and comfort talking to senior stakeholders about their business challenges;

  • Have a good network within your local life (re)-insurance market;

  • Confidence in negotiating and interacting effectively with management on all levels (C-suite). You listen, understand the clients' needs and can bring creative ideas and solutions;

  • Passionate about the latest developments in the wider insurance environment particularly in the application of analytics and follow developments to find opportunities actively with existing and prospective clients;

  • Experience in handling large deals, projects and virtual teams;

  • Experienced design thinking to run co-creation with insurance partners; and

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
