Pricing & Proposition Actuary iptiQ ANZ
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced actuary with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills to join the iptiQ ANZ team.
You will proactively engage with iptiQ group portfolio management team to align iptiQ ANZ activity to group requirements.
Your responsibilities will include, however, are not limited to:
- Chairing the iptiQ ANZ In-force Management Committee (IMC);
- Overseeing the regular experience monitoring and portfolio reviews of the in-force portfolio;
- Using actuarial expertise to provide guidance, feedback, and direction on the adequacy of pricing bases for the in-force portfolio, and develop pricing tools for iptiQ ANZ;
- Ensuring the regular review of iptiQ ANZ product offerings and develop action plans to resolve and enhance as appropriate to maintain the in-force portfolio;
- Performance of portfolio governance, monitoring and supervision activities in line with Swiss Re group processes and standards;
- Identifying and proactively managing emerging trends, risks, issues, and opportunities;
- Ensure collaboration between pricing and product, and with internal functional experts on product and pricing matters;
- Work with the iptiQ ANZ Governance Manager and Line 2 to deliver pricing and product maintenance and lifecycle management, and adequate pricing and product risk management;
- Maintain awareness of Australian regulatory landscape, and proactively assess pricing and product requirements to ensure compliance with external obligations;
- Maintain up to date knowledge of local and global actuarial practices and trends; and
- Represent iptiQ ANZ on relevant industry working group matters and industry/business submissions, as required
About the Team
The iptiQ ANZ Portfolio Management team is a specialist function, responsible for the management of our existing products and pricing of the in-force portfolio. The team is tasked with maintaining a customer-centric and sustainable product and pricing architecture that meets customer needs.
About You
- Experienced in leading a team of technical experts;
- Degree in Actuarial Studies, completed actuarial exams and Fellowship attained;
- Direct or Retail Life pricing experience within the Australian life insurance market is preferred;
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated understanding of actuarial pricing bases;
- Advanced Excel skills required. Power BI is an advantage;
- Sound understanding of all areas of product development and product management;
- Good communication skills, including in senior management engagement; and
- You enjoy team collaboration and contributing to the broader team on local and global business initiatives.
