Senior Property Facultative Underwriter

About the Role 


The primary focus is executing our Swiss Re Fac Go-To-Market strategies whilst promoting our presence and propositions to brokers and clients. You will get exposure beyond the ANZ market through supporting peak renewals and consultation of other markets within Asia. The role also entails exploring growth opportunities for SwiftRe®, Swiss Re's cutting edge end-to-end global digital platform for small and medium industrial and commercial businesses.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Building a profitable and balanced Property Facultative book in ANZ, cross-sell, engage, and service brokers and clients;

  • Providing high-quality, timely service to clients and brokers while complying with underwriting authority and guidelines;

  • Supporting the Head Property Facultative, ANZ, in developing and executing the Property Go-To Market strategy and delivering planned property portfolio targets;

  • Proactively manage the portfolio for sustainable profitable growth, observe external risk landscape and trends, and steer the portfolio to reach profitability targets; and

  • Driving business origination, enhance relationship building with clients and brokers, and ensure robust new business pipelines and improved renewal retention.

 

About You

 

  • Proven experience in financial services or re/insurance;

  • Strong business acumen and a successful track record of building strategic relationships; 

  • Maintain a strong market network and relationships, with expertise in heavy Property occupancies and General Property underwriting;

  • Experience in Mining, Energy & Utilities, or Construction & Engineering is an added advantage, as well as expertise in facilities and automated solutions;

  • Comfortable working in a highly collaborative, multicultural environment, taking ownership and accountability to provide superior service to clients and brokers; and

  • University Degree or equivalent

We share the common vision and goals to collaboratively grow our Fac business across Asia territories from Japan, Korea to Greater China, Southeast Asia, India and Australia and New Zealand.
