Description of duties and responsibilities: 

  • Daily cash reconciliation – matching SOA (Statement of Accounts) details to incoming cash using locally developed tool.
  • Creation of SOA and sending the same to agencies and brokers, and communicate differences, etc.
  • Confirming cash remittance with bank
  • Handling payments of expenses
  • Agency registration to Finance Bureau via The General Insurance Association of Japan system
  • Partner creation working with Partner Data Management team
  • Creating reports requested from agencies
  • Support in premium handling, monitoring and chasing when required
  • Create and maintain records both electronically and physically, following established guidelines and processes
  • Participate in ad-hoc operation related projects
  • Other tasks assigned by Team Lead and Head Operations

 

About You

You're someone proactive, organized and detail oriented. You are a team player with the ability to build collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You thrive on taking ownership of tasks, you find creative ways to overcome obstacles, and make decisions.

MUST have

  • Native Japanese or equivalent and intermediate English skills
  • Relevant Insurance Operations experience (at least 2-3 years)
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently handle data following established processes and procedures adhering to deadlines
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, with a willingness to further develop these skills
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience required; bachelor's degree preferred

NICE to have  

  • TOEIC score: 800 and above
  • Experience in Accounting
  • Additional Computer skills – Microsoft Access, Powerpoint, PowerBI, VBA
